Перспективы для Грузии: первый год президенства Трампа

Профессор политологии Тбилисского государственного университета Корнелий Какачия считает, что делать выводы насчет позиции Администрации Трампа по постсоветскому региону, и в частности Грузии, возможно будет по завершении ста дней в должности нового президента, когда определятся основные подходы нового руководства страны.

Хотя, как говорит политолог, на данном этапе можно предположить два варианта развития событий. В частности, согласно Какачии, если сценарий разовьется таким образом, что внешняя политика США будет основываться на посланиях, озвученные в предвыборной кампании Трампа, то тогда, по словам эксперта, перспективы «мрачные» не только для Грузии, но также и для многих других стран, включая трансатлантических партнеров Соединенных Штатов.

В то же время, политолог полагает, что вероятность развития альтернативного варианта событий более высокая, так как, по его словам, часто реальная политика не совпадает с предвыборной риторикой кандидатов.

«Несмотря на противоречивые послания, озвученные кандидатами на высокопоставленные посты в новой Администрации, Грузии стоит надеется на то, что по крайней мере в первый год президентства Трампа отношения с США резко не изменятся. Для нас как раз очень важно сохранить интенсивность существующих довольно тесных отношений. В то же время переход на новый уровень и новые высоты в отношениях вряд ли реальны на данном этапе», – полагает эксперт.
