Американская сторона пытается свести последствия этого к минимуму, но эксперты не исключают возможности лобового столкновения. В понедельник, 19 июня, Министерство обороны России заявило о прекращении взаимодействия с США, осуществляемого в соответствии с Меморандумом о предотвращении инцидентов и обеспечении безопасности полетов авиации в ходе операций в Сирии от 20 октября 2015 года. Решение Москвы стало реакцией на события 18 июня, когда силы международной коалиции, возглавляемой США, сбили самолет правительственных войск в сирийской провинции Ракка […]

После инцидента 18 июня положение может усугубиться, но вряд ли приведет к лобовому столкновению Москвы и Вашингтона, считает Михаил Троицкий, директор Института международных отношений и управления МГИМО. «Риски повышаются для обеих сторон, ситуация тревожная, но здравый смысл возобладает, и военные, получив политический сигнал, будут стремиться к сдержанности», — полагает Троицкий. Инцидент вряд ли повлияет на подготовку к встрече между российским президентом Владимиром Путиным и его американским коллегой Дональдом Трампом на саммите «Двадцатки» в Гамбурге в начале июля, заключает эксперт.
